  1. Hey Elizabeth! I like your idea, it is very unique, especially since it is taking place in another country. I believe it was already an established issue that you would have to get all of your shots because you are only there for a limited time! I really like your general flow, I feel that it flows very nicely! However, I am lost on what research you are going to incorporate into your documentary for its intent. SInce you are elucidating the differences in a business in Mexico vs where we live, why not interview a second business that is in the local area and put them side by side so we really see the differences and similarities between the two. That way the general idea of the documentary will be held, because with your general flow it would just seem like you were promoting her business rather than showing us the differences. And in your camera work I bet you took the liberty to get as much b-roll possibly, I like the them of showing the business from opening to closing, it is a very interesting angle! Best of luck, I'm sure your documentary will be lovely!

  2. I know you already went to shoot this the other day but I have some tips that you could have for next time. I know you were operating in a limited time frame but you only have one contact. For a strong documentary, different sources and interviews add substance to your documentary. Perhaps you did have more contacts while you were in Mexico but your pre-pro lists only one contact. Try to expand it next time. Some research that could be added in as B-Roll could be things like how business have evolved and struggles of other business. How would the business you interviewed compare to other businesses in Mexico and America. Things like that. The cinematography you have listed is well laid out. I wonder how much you stayed true to it but it works. No suggestions on this.
