Resident Evil: Afterlife (mine)
There is an insightful interpretation of the extract along with a connection of the film's genre. It refers to other films directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (same director of this film) and analyzes the Historical and Film Language. It Explains the characters' roles and the genre of action horror. It also higlights the audio sound and the cinemotography with the 3D fusion Cameras.
Informs the Historical facts, but there is repetition of interpretation of action scenes. It doesn't clearly goes through how this films deals with social cultural. Overall there is evalution of mostly all areas; well some more than others, but the main idea of analyzing the film is accomplished. However, the time limit was over used as a consequence of repetition.
Alice in Wonderland
The student connects very well the characters to the real world. Also the Historical context is widely explained and details are an important part of the analysis. The adaption of the book to the film is highlighted, but it could have been more explicit. However, the genre is discussed along with the camera work and its effects.
The Sound area wasn't fully explained and the editing is not well analyzed. As for the time limit, it was well used with a lot of information and explanation. One fact that cought my attention was that as the student was talking the images/clips showed up were related to what was being said. But personally I think the Genre could have been much more deep explained.
